The SOFTEST chocolate cake ever
This cake is so flavorful, soft and moist. You can easily leave out the pistachio if it's not your thing but oh boy do the flavors come together!

Ingredients in chocolate pistachio cake
I wouldn’t suggest changing anything in this recipe, keep the ingredients and measurements the same and you won’t be disappointed.
Use regular all-purpose flour for best results. I haven't tested other flours but if you do, feel free to leave me a comment below!
You will need greek yogurt, buttermilk and 3 eggs.
You will also need oil, hot water and instant coffee.
Use granulated sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder and baking soda.
Finally you will need 1/2 cup of ground pistachios.
Tools you will need to make this
You don’t really need much to make this recipe and you can easily use what you already have on hand.
You will need:
- 9 x 13" pan
- 2 mixing bowls
- 1 whisk
- Spatula to mix
For measuring: 1/4 tsp, 1/2 tsp, 1 tsp, 1/4 cup, 1/2 cup, 1 cup.

Chocolate Pistachio Sheet Cake

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup greek yogurt
- 1 cup buttermilk OR milk + 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 3 eggs
- 1 - 1/2 cups hot water
- 1 tablespoon coffee
- 3/4 cup oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 - 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup ground pistachios
Method
- Preheat the oven to 350°F/180°C and prepare the pan.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk the greek yogurt with the buttermilk.
- Whisk in the eggs and vanilla.
- Combine the hot water.
- In another bowl, mix the flour with the sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, coffee and salt.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry and mix until combined.
- Fold in the pistachios.
- Pour into the pan and bake for 45-50 minutes.
- Let cool then enjoy!
