Double Chocolate Loaf

This loaf makes the perfect weekend treat and little baking project! Containing simple ingredients you will find in your pantry, your family will love it.

Ingredients in double chocolate loaf
I wouldn’t suggest changing anything in this recipe, keep the ingredients and measurements the same and you won’t be disappointed.
Use regular all-purpose flour for best results.
Use a combination of brown sugar and granulated sugar.
Use butter and milk. You can easily make this dairy-free by using nut milk and vegan butter.
You will need 2 eggs, cocoa powder and finally baking powder.
Tools you will need to make this
You will need:
- 1 loaf tin
- 1 mixing bowl and hand mixer or stand mixer
- 1 bowl
- Spatula to mix
For measuring: 1/4 tsp, 1 tsp, 1 tbsp, 1/4 cup, 1/2 cup, 1 cup.

Double Chocolate Loaf

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 - 1/2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 4 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup chocolate chunks
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Method
- Preheat the oven to 350°F/180°C.
- In the bowl of a stand mixer, beat the butter with the sugars until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing in between.
- In a bowl, add the flour, cocoa powder, salt and baking powder and combine together.
- Add a quarter of the flour mixture and some milk and mix. Keep alternating until everything is combined.
- Mix in the chocolate chunks.
- Add the batter to the loaf then add the chocolate chips on top.
- Bake for 45 minutes.
- Let cool, slice and enjoy!
